After a decisive wire-to-wire win over the Pistons, the Spurs have another prime opportunity for a win tonight, against the struggling Hornets. The Silver and Black are back in the Frost Bank Center for Pride Night, and it’s likely to be a good night for Victor Wembanyama and his supporting cast. The Hornets have only won 8 games this year, but that’s still two more than the lowly Spurs. The Spurs have been on an upswing for the last couple of weeks and tonight would be a great way to demonstrate their improvement with a second consecutive win. It’s the first night of a back-to-back, so it’s not known if Pop will play Victor tonight, or tomorrow against the Bulls. My opinion is that the Spurs should go crazy and let Victor play both games.
The Hornets have Terry Rozier, who has always torched the Spurs defense in the past, and tonight might mark the return of LaMelo Ball to the lineup, which could cause a lot of problems for Tre Jones with his length. The Spurs have had their best games of the year so far in the last few weeks, and if they keep that trend going, we could see another victory tonight. I’ll be writing the recap, so I’ll let you know how that turned out right after the final buzzer.
Terry Rozier will make at least one child cry on the sidelines. It’s not his fault that he’s Scary Terry.
One final word:
Go Spurs GOOOOOO!!
