New Years resolutions for the Spurs

Let’s kick off 2024

Saw on Twitter yesterday that Dejounte Murray had deleted any reference from the Atlanta Hawks from his account. He, along with lots of NBA talent, are being listed for trade availability.

Also read Jesus’ post about how the OG Anunoby trade might affect the Spurs draft picks next summer.

New Year’s Day is as good a time as any to clean the slate and make some changes. What do the Spurs need to do this year?

They have a generational talent in Victor Wembanyama. He is continuing to grow, develop, and expand his basketball acumen on and off the court. But, as we know to be true of any player, one man does not impact an entire team immediately. Just ask LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

What do the Spurs need other than patience? A true point guard? A twin tower? A defensive-minded diamond in the rough who needs a three-point shot whisperer?

Let’s kick off 2024 with a great discussion about the future of the San Antonio Spurs.

Happy New Year, Pounders!
