The Spurs face one of the two teams they’ve defeated tonight, they won on November 27 in a thrilling overtime contest in Frost Bank Arena. Things have changed for both teams since the second game of the season, The Spurs haven’t won a game since their back-to-back victories over the Suns in Phoenix at the start of November. Over a month of solid losses has got the team dragging, and the Rockets are putting together one of the better defenses in the league under Ime Udoka’s leadership.
Sixteen losses, and what do you get? Another month older, and losing every bet. The Spurs desperately need to pull out of their current tailspin, but the Rockets at home aren’t going to take any pity on the struggling Silver and Black. The Spurs are going to need to bring some nasty to pick up a win, and that’s been missing from the lineup so far. Let’s watch and see if they can get their mojo back. If not, it doesn’t get an easier as they face the In Season Tournament champion Lakers in San Antonio for a two-game miniseries on Wednesday and Friday.
Commissioner Adam Silver will announce a new policy for the NBA where the worst teams are relegated to the G-League, and the San Antonio Spurs will be the first team to be relegated in mid-season.
One final word:
Go Spurs GOOOOOO!!
