As you can see, the 9th pick has often picked up pretty exciting players (that stretch from 2007-2012 is pretty impressive) and mostly been players that end up at least contributing. 20 and 25 are crap shoots but can net pretty good players. Also fun that both Jakob Poeltl and DeMar DeRozan were picked at 9.
