“Just being able to give them things that a lot people maybe take for granted — I know I definitely for granted growing up as a kid. It was cool just to be able to give back to them and make sure they could start the school year looking good and feeling confident about themselves.”
The Spurs Coyote was also on hand to keep the children entertained.
As most know, Texas schools are 100% in-person with no funding for virtual learners. Many families do not have the resources to provide new clothes and supplies for their children. Sending back students with confidence is a huge step toward kicking off the year right.
Academy donated an additional $3,000 to Northside ISD to help other students with more school supplies.
