It’s time for Summer League: Spurs vs. Thunder

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

The last day of Las Vegas Summer League is tomorrow, but the Spurs wrap up things today against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Despite only one win, it’s been a successful campaign for the Silver and Black, as they have seen some solid performances from Tre Jones and flashes of potential stardom from first round pick Josh Primo. Unfortunately, Jones will probably be held our today with concussion precautions, and hopefully this won’t be a long term issue for him, because he has been the best player on this year’s Summer Spurs. Devin Vassell has also been held out with hamstring tightness, and I expect today’s game to belong to the G-Leaguers and guys who are looking to showcase their talents for other teams or overseas scouts. Last one to leave Vegas, turn out the lights ... oh, never mind, it’s Vegas, the lights stay on.
