The crop of international players in the 2021 NBA Draft Class is incredibly talented, ridiculously young, and uniquely skilled. And while only a few of the overseas candidates will likely hear their names called during the top half of the lottery, several have the ceiling to become vital contributors to winning organizations once they refine their skills at the next level.
The Spurs have already contacted Bahamian big man Kai Jones, Canadian two-guard Josh Primo, Dominican sharpshooter LJ Figueroa, Puerto Rican wing Ethan Thompson, and French forward Yves Pons. San Antonio looks locked in on scouting since their season ended, and hopefully, their global search for prospects continues as we approach draft day on July 29.
Sam Ferris of the Locked on NBA Draft Podcast joins me on this edition of Alamo City Limits to discuss teenage sensations Josh Giddey and Alperen Sengun and break down Devin Vassell’s rookie season with the Silver and Black.
