The San Antonio Spurs have conducted a pre-draft workout with Baylor guard Davion Mitchell, per Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington.

Hughes also reports Mitchell worked out for the lottery-bound Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder, and New Orleans Pelicans.

Despite being one of the oldest players in the 2021 NBA Draft Class, the junior floor general has received genuine lottery interest from around the league and could come off the board within the top ten picks.

The undersized floor general is one of 353 early entry candidates for the 2021 NBA Draft and among the 74 players who participated in the annual NBA Draft Combine in Chicago a month ago.

Mitchell averaged 14.0 points, 2.7 boards, and 5.5 assists per game during his final year under head coach Scott Drew and helped lead the Bears to a sterling 28-2 record on their way to their first NCAA Championship.

The six-one playmaker enjoyed an accolade-filled final go-round with the Baylor Bears, taking home All-Big 12 First-Team, Big 12 All-Defense First-Team, and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year honors.

He also won the NABC, Naismith, and Lefty Driesell Defensive Player of the Year Award and earned NCAA All-Tournament Team, AP, NABC, and Sporting News All-America Third-Team honors in 2021.

The 2021 NBA Draft will take place on July 29 at 7 PM CST at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. ESPN and ABC will televise the first round, and the second round will air exclusively on ESPN.
