The San Antonio Spurs conducted a pre-draft meeting with University of Arkansas guard Moses Moody, per Jeff Garcia of News 4 San Antonio.

Moody also met with the Knicks during the NBA Draft Combine last month and has worked out for the Pacers, Magic, Kings, Warriors, Grizzlies, and Hornets.

The six-six swingman was one of 353 early entry candidates for the 2021 NBA Draft and should come off the board in the mid-lottery after keeping his name in the talent pool past the final July 19 withdrawal deadline.

The gifted freshman averaged 16.8 points, 5.8 boards, and 1.6 assists per game, leading the Razorbacks to a tenth-place ranking in the final AP Poll and their first Elite Eight appearance since 1995.

While Moody arrived in Fayetteville as the 40th rated recruit in the nation, he surpassed even the loftiest expectations, earning All-SEC First-Team, SEC All-Freshman First-Team, and SEC Rookie of the Year honors in 2021.

His size and skillset may overlap with San Antonio’s current core. But if Moody is still available when the 12th pick rolls around, the Spurs should consider adding him to the collection of defensive-minded wings.

The 2021 NBA Draft will take place on July 29 at 7 PM CST at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. ESPN and ABC will televise the first round, and the second round will air exclusively on ESPN.
