The San Antonio Spurs have conducted a pre-draft interview with Gonzaga University forward Corey Kispert per Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News.
In need of 3-point help, Spurs met last week at combine with Gonzaga-ex Corey Kispert, who never stops working on his shot.

“There's always room for improvement until you make every single one,” he said. “Shooting it deeper, shooting it with more arc."https://t.co/PdTieceLyE
Orsborn also reports Kispert interviewed with the Celtics, Bulls, Cavaliers, Warriors, Clippers, Lakers, Timberwolves, Pelicans, Knicks, and Thunder at the NBA Draft Combine last week.
The 22-year-old wing was the second-leading scorer (18.6 PPG) for a historically dominant Bulldogs squad that went 31-1 and held the top spot in the AP Poll for 17 straight weeks heading into the NCAA Tournament.
Kispert was arguably the best long-distance shooter in college basketball a season ago, hitting a staggering 44% of his 6.5 three-point attempts per game out of a variety of sets and actions.
San Antonio finished dead-last in three-point attempts and makes per game in the NBA last season. And the addition of the six-seven marksman addresses an immediate need within the organization.
Although Kispert may not have as much upside as some of the younger prospects in this class, the senior is fundamentally sound and projects as a day-one contributor for whoever selects him in the 2021 NBA Draft.
The majority of national media mock drafts have Kispert coming off the board near the end of the lottery and seeing as the Spurs own the 12th overall pick, there’s a strong possibility he could be their guy.
The 2021 NBA Draft will take place on July 29 at 7 PM CST at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. ESPN and ABC will televise the first round, and the second round will air exclusively on ESPN.
