University of Tennessee forward Yves Pons had a workout with the San Antonio Spurs, per Chris Gresham of Forbes Sports.

Pons also worked out for the Boston Celtics, Charlotte Hornets, and Minnesota Timberwolves.

The 22-year-old is one of 353 early entrant candidates for the 2021 NBA Draft. He was also one of the 69 players invited to the 2021 NBA Draft Combine at Wintrust Arena and the Marriott Marquis in Chicago.

Yves averaged 8.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game during his senior season. He spent all four years of his college career playing for the Volunteers, amassing 70 starts across 116 appearances.

Despite standing at six-foot-six, Pons was among the best rim protectors in college basketball, swatting a single-game program-high nine shots versus Florida in round one of the SEC Conference Tournament.

Though college players have until July 7 to withdraw their name from the 2021 NBA Draft to retain their remaining NCAA eligibility, the french wing is a projected second-round pick that will likely see out the draft process.

The 2021 NBA Draft will take place on July 29 at 7 PM CST at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. ESPN and ABC will televise the first round, and the second round will air exclusively on ESPN.
