The San Antonio Spurs entered a SEGABABA against the New York Knicks looking for a win that would clinch a spot in the play-in tournament. After a slow first half, they seemed well on their way to getting it, building a 17-point lead midway through the third quarter thanks to hitting their first 13 shots of the half, but the basketball gods forced them to average back to the mean, and the offense went cold for the rest of the way, resulting in the 102-98 loss.
However, a 116-110 loss by the Sacramento Kings to the Memphis Grizzlies means the Spurs have in fact clinched a spot in the play-in tournament and are locked in the 10th seed. DeMar DeRozan led the Spurs with 27 points, while Alec Burkes torched the Spurs for 30 points off the bench for New York, and RJ Barrett and Julius Randle combined for 49 points.
