It’s time for San Antonio Spurs vs Miami Heat

New, comments

The Spurs are fresh off convincing road wins against the Suns and Pacers, but now they return home, where they haven’t played well

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

The Miami Heat had an incredible run last year in the Orlando bubble, but they’ve been pretty mediocre, with just a 30-28 record so far this year. The Spurs have been even more mediocre at 28-28, but they’ve looked much better recently, with Derrick White and the young core really stepping up their games as the team tries to stay in the playoff (or play-in) mix.

The thrill of victory ... the agony of defeat! It was a part of Spurs history, when it happened against the Heat. But it happened in the reverse order, now saved on my videocassette recorder. Much better a redemption story, than a sad memory of lost glory.

One final word:

Go Spurs GOOOOOO!!
