Yesterday Spurs guard Patty Mills was presented with the NBA Cares Community Assist Award recognizing his humanitarian efforts off the court. Mills has certainly been the heart and soul of the Silver & Black these past few season.

Off the court he is also known for his love of coffee. He even put a “Coffee Gang” together and over the pandemic had some Zoom conversations with Manu Ginobili, Tiago Splitter, and Boris Diaw, a known connoisseur of coffee as well. In an homage to the Aussie guard, the Spurs are releasing a limited-edition “Coffee Gang” apparel line.

Patty first brought the “Coffee Gang” to life with that quartet along as a way to build camaraderie between teammates, a tradition that still carries on with the current Spurs team today. Bryn Forbes, Rudy Gay, and Keldon Johnson have all joined Mills on his tour of locally owned shops.

In that vein, the San Antonio Spurs have created some novelties for fans to get in on the “Coffee Gang.” The collection is inspired by Mills and the team’s love for coffee. Their regular outings as a group to local coffee shops while on the road have been a oft discussed topic.

The limited-edition collection launches Thursday, April 1, at the Spurs Fan Shop inside the AT&T Center and online at SpursFanShop.com as the Spurs take on the Atlanta Hawks. Remaining pieces will also be available at the Spurs Fan Shop location at La Cantera beginning Friday, April 2.

The 12-piece collection includes a variety of lifestyle gear and novelty items, such as hats, shirts, vinyl stickers and insulated mugs.
