Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.
After losing four straight, a visit from the Bulls might be something you’d expect for the Spurs to welcome, but they picked up a second superstar player at the trade deadline, and the Bulls have added Nikola Vucevic to the team, who torched the Spurs the last time they met, scoring 28 points for the Magic. With both him and Zach Lavine scoring tons of points, the Spurs will need to find their offense, which has been lacking in the recent slide, culminating in a pathetic 85 points against a short-handed Clippers team on Thursday night. I’m still hoping for Derrick White to find his shooting range and become the volume shooter that the Spurs need to contend this season.
In order to score, the ball needs to go through the hoop. And if it doesn’t it helps to get a rebound. But if you are shooting like poop, and the caroms can’t be found, then it’s not a good time, and the end of the game is rarely sublime.
One final word:
Go Spurs GOOOOOO!!
