It seems like the last time the Knicks were good was in ‘99, when they made it all the way to the NBA finals, but ran into a young team led by a guy who was just beginning a remarkable career. Of course, I mean Antonio Daniels, who averaged 4.7 pts/game in his second year. Somehow, the twin towers of Duncan and Robinson (not the guy on the Heat) narrowly beat them 4-1 in the finals and took home the first NBA championship for the Alamo City. Things are a little different now. For example, you would expect at least team to score 100 or more, which didn’t happen in the ‘99 finals. But you never know, because Tom Thibodeau is the Knicks coach now, and they play good defense this season. Tonight, with the Spurs on the second night of a SEGABABA after last night’s thrilling overtime contest against the Nets, it might be an old school slugfest. With the possible return of Keldon Johnson, that might be a good omen for the Silver and Black.

For two consecutive nights, the Spurs have tough fights, An overtime tussle with James Harden, and then the guys from Madison Square Garden, Clear out your lockers, here come the Knickerbockers!

One final word:

Go Spurs GOOOOOO!!
