It’s time for San Antonio Spurs at Chicago Bulls

The Spurs are in the windy city tonight at the mid-point of their five-game road trip

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

Da Bulls! The Chicago Bulls are a long way from the team with Michael Jordan that dominated the league in the 90s, but they have an excellent player in Zach Lavine who has been tearing up the league lately. They Spurs are still without Demar DeRozan, so this won’t be a game they can take lightly if they want to get above .500 on their current road trip. Dejounte Murray has been terrific lately, and there are signs that Derrick is starting to work his way of the slump caused by his Covid-related absence from the lineup. Hopefully, Jakob Poeltl won’t have any lingering effects from tweaking his ankle on Monday night, and the Spurs can pull out a victory in the Windy City tonight.

Chicago, Chicago, what a place! Zach Lavine can dunk the ball in your face. But Jakob can block with style and grace, and suddenly, those points he will erase.

One final word:

Go Spurs GOOOOOO!!
