It’s time for San Antonio Spurs vs Orlando Magic

After Wednesday’s disappointing loss in Dallas, the Spurs go for their first post All Star win tonight

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

Tonight is the second game of the post-Lamarcus era in San Antonio, and the first night that San Antonio has had fans in the arena since just over a year ago. DeMar DeRozan is out tonight for family reasons, and it might be hard for some people to think about basketball, but in 2021, the games don’t stop for anyone or anything. This will be a great chance for the young backcourt of Dejounte Murray and Derrick White to shake off the bad shooting of Wednesday’s game, and get into a rhythm against the 13-24 Magic, and take an extended look at Nikola Vucevic, who is reported a trade target for the Silver and Black. It would also be a great time for Luka Samanic to build on the momentum he was starting to show before the break.

Oh oh oh, it’s the Magic, a middling team from the East, Their record is almost tragic, but tonight they’ll brawl like a beast.

One final word:

Go Spurs GOOOOOO!!
