The San Antonio Spurs may be getting one of their players back from COVID-19 protocol against the Brooklyn Nets tonight. Keldon Johnson, who has been out since their win in Charlotte on Valentine’s Day, has been upgraded to “questionable” for tonight’s game. After participating shootaround this morning, his teammates described him as the same old Keldon.
Lonnie Walker on Keldon Johnson's participation in shootaround this morning: “Keldon just being Keldon – high energy, positivity, screaming, yelling, singing…just happy to have him on the court and just spreading that contagious energy that he has."

It’s worth noting that he has not been officially announced as “available”, and considering the Spurs are on the first night of a back-to-back, Gregg Popovich could also hold him out tomorrow against the New York Knicks. Regardless, it’s a very good sign that he was spry and had plenty of energy in shootaround considering conditioning and getting back in shape is one of the bigger challenges athletes face returning from the virus.
Derrick White, Rudy Gay, Devin Vassell, and Quinndary Weatherspoon (who could be seen in street clothes on the bench in the Spurs most recent game against the Pelicans) remain out due to healthy and safety protocols.
Update: Keldon is out tonight, so maybe tomorrow?
