Out of the gate, the Spurs led for most of the game and eventually outlasted the new-look defense-capable Rockets. Number 10 continued his stellar play and stuffed the box score to the tune of 30 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. Derrick White, in the starting lineup for the first time all season, had 14 points and 5 assists. Six total Spurs scored in double figures for the total team collaboration win.
DeMar DeRozan, with his second straight 30-point game, came through in the clutch down the stretch once again:
