It’s time for San Antonio Spurs at Oklahoma City Thunder

New, comments

A lot of stuff has happened since the last time the Spurs played, but it’s great to have basketball back

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

In the before times, teams would play basketball, and people had power and water. After a couple of tough weeks, life is returning to normal and the Silver and Black nation turns its lonely eyes to the Spurs, back in action tonight against the Thunder. The good guys will be playing a makeshift lineup, with many key players missing. But tonight should see the return of LaMarcus Aldridge, and Lonnie Walker IV will be taking a much larger role in the offense with Derrick White out of commission. This is the final game of the truncated Rodeo Road Trip, which started approximately two lifetimes ago.

The second half schedule has been released, and except for a two day break after tonight’s game and five days off for the All Star break, the Spurs won’t have more than one consecutive day off for the rest of the season. The Spurs are short-handed tonight, but they can’t let up if they want to remain in the playoff picture.

So much faster than a salamander, are the moves of Gilgeous-Alexander. But he was a regular palooka, when he met up with tall Luka. And when he met Poeltl, he seemed slow as a turtle.

One final word:

Go Spurs GOOOOOO!!
