The Spurs Valentine’s Day game made the rounds on social media for eliciting a response from music diva Mariah Carey. She tweeted approval of her hit being used.
Of the Spurs players to attempt to sing the song, Keldon Johnson hit it with the most gusto and dedication. As we all know, full attention to detail and dedication is a Keldon quality.
Keldon then went a step further and let the world know Mariah is his “favorite artist.”

"It was cool, crazy because she’s my favorite artist."
KJ says listening to the song is a must. "I promise y'all I listen to the song every day." pic.twitter.com/MDtiioGWhX
“I promise y’all, I listen to the song every day.”
That was enough to keep the social media love-fest going as Carey then tweeted her pick for the NBA All-Star Game.

Her vote came on the final day of voting which meant it counted twice.
While Johnson is unlikely to make this year’s All-Star team, a vote of confidence from one of the biggest selling artists of all time may make NBA and R&B fans ears perk up.
The Spurs most likely All-Star, DeMar DeRozan, was instructed by Mariah to “be more like Keldon!”
C'mon DeMar, be more like Keldon! ❤️ https://t.co/f7oVnmEIRX

It is safe to assume that she means musically, because when it comes to balling, DeRozan is all set.
