It’s time for San Antonio Spurs at Atlanta Hawks

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

The annual Rodeo Road Trip starts with an early game in Atlanta against Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks. After two games of being torched by Steph Curry, they’re facing another player with a similar skill set, although not on the level of Curry’s virtuosity. The Hawks aren’t a team you can take for granted, but if they can keep Trae under control, the chances for a Silver and Black win are pretty good. It’s going to be another challenge for Dejounte Murray as he is growing into one of the best defensive guards in the league.

The Hawks passed on Luka and drafted Trae, Doncic became a star, and Young said “This is the way.” Fans were mad, or maybe just a little upsettish, but look at it this way, the Hawks also got Cam Reddish.
