The Spurs look to start their first win streak of the season in OKC tonight

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

The Spurs are looking for their longest win streak of the season tonight, trying to put together two wins in a row with a win tonight against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder. The Spurs turned in a solid performance on Friday night in Orlando, with Dejounte Murray providing stability to the offense, and Thaddeus Young playing well as the anchor on the defense with Jakob Poeltl absent due to Covid protocols. Jakob is still out tonight, so Thad will once again have to play big minutes and perhaps Jock Landale will finally play some non-garbage time minutes.

The Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Is so damn slippery in the paint
he’s like an outrageous salamander
you think you got ‘im, but you ain’t

One final word:

Go Spurs GOOOOOO!!
