It’s time for Basketball: Spurs at Magic

After the close loss to the Mavericks on Wednesday, the Spurs are in Florida to see the Magic tonight

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

Even without Jakob Poeltl, the Spurs played a good game on Wednesday night against Luka Doncic and the Mavericks, but the inability to cope with Jalen Brunson and Boban Marjonavic were costly as Dallas hung on for a 1 point win as the Spurs threw away the inbounds pass as time ran out. Tonight, the Spurs face the Orlando Magic, one of only 4 teams in the league with a worse record than the slumping Spurs. The Spurs routed them on opening night 123-97. This a team the Spurs should beat easily, but if they turn in the same lackluster effort they did on their last road game against the Pacers, they won’t. This will be time to see if the Spurs can execute and get Coach Pop one game closer to the record.

Let us now go to Orlando
And face the mighty Magic
Home of Marlon Brando
And fish who are bathypelagic

One final word:

Go Spurs GOOOOOO!!
