It’s still early in the season, but stock in Jock Landale is trending upward. It is hard not to be excited about a player who gets Patty Mills’ seal of approval.
Landale took a tumble in the third preseason game and missed two games due to concussion protocols.
But his comfort level on the court and his ability to mesh with the second unit gives hope that the Melbourne big man will fit in quite well with the San Antonio Spurs. And seeing as today is his twenty-sixth birthday, he might slot right into the ongoing development of the Spurs draftees who have become the core of the franchise.
The current Australian National Basketball League Most Valuable Player just earned a championship with his hometown United.
Happy birthday, Jock!
