It’s time for Basketball: Spurs vs Rockets

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

It’s the final practice game of the season for the Spurs and Rockets tonight, and while this game doesn’t count in the standings, it’s important for the Spurs players as they will have to reduce the roster by one player before the official NBA season starts on October 19. The Silver and Black will play their first real game of the season on October 20 in the AT&T Center against the Orlando Magic, who they defeated 101-100 on Sunday in Orlando.

Bally Sports is televising tonight’s preseason contest for the first time this season, so if you’ve got BSSW or League Pass and are not blacked out by region, you should get your first look at Bill Land and Sean Elliot tonight. Enjoy!
