It’s time for San Antonio Spurs at Los Angeles Clippers

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

The new year hasn’t been kind to the Spurs so far, they’re on a four-game losing streak, and just lost Derrick White to a toe injury for an extended period. It’s not getting any easier tonight, when they travel to the City of Angels to play the Clippers. This may surprise some of you, but the best player on the Clippers used to be a Spur. He will be wearing a mask tonight, but in truth, he always has worn one, just not all of us could see it.

After Dejounte Murray’s not so good, terrible, bad game against the Jazz, he should have a bounce back in Staples Center, and I expect DeMar DeRozan to play well against the player he was traded for a few years back. This will be a great time to see BiG BodY Keldon Johnson show a west coast audience how good he’s been this year. The Silver and Black will be the underdogs tonight, but they often play their best when the least is expected of them. Let’s go, Spurs!
