It’s time for San Antonio Spurs vs Denver Nuggets

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

In a game of runs, the Spurs had the last one on Wednesday night, and pulled out a win against the Celtics behind clutch plays from DeMar DeRozan, Keldon Johnson and Dejounte Murray. Tonight, they face even a more difficult challenge, as they face Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and the Nuggets. And let’s not forget Michael Porter Jr., who has been torching opposing teams this season. The Spurs will have to step up their defense to contend against Jokic’s crafty passing and shotmaking, and will need another solid performance from Dejounte Murray to keep the offense moving efficiently against Denver. If the good guys can keep the score close in the final minutes, expect DeMar DeRozan to once again deliver in the clutch and propel the Silver and Black to yet another win against a playoff contender.

They come from the Mile High City, and the center passes with alacrity, but when they faced the Silver and Black, they were suddenly taken aback: they valiantly kept the score in touch, but at the end, the Spurs were just too clutch.
