The G-League releases Austin Spurs regular season schedule

Everything you need to know about the G-League Bubble and the Austin Spurs

The G-League announced its regular-season schedule on Wednesday, as the Austin Spurs and 17 other NBA affiliates prepare to travel to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort.

The NBA used this location as a bubble to house their seeding, play-in, and playoff games after COVID-19 brought about a four-month hiatus three-quarters of the way through the 2019-2020 regular season.

Protocols such as social distancing, coronavirus testing, quarantining, and sanitation are in place to ensure the safety of everyone who takes part in this four-week single-site event near Orlando, Florida.

The regular season will commence on February 10 and come to a close on March 6, followed by an abbreviated tournament between the teams with the eight best records to determine the 2021 G-League champion.

Although the Austin Spurs have yet to announce an official roster, they began filling out their squad during the 2021 G-League Draft, selecting Jonathan Kasibabu, Anthony Mathis, and Kaleb Johnson (Keldon’s older brother) in the first two rounds.

NBA teams will have the option of calling up and down two-way contract signees or players from their 15-man roster for portions or all of the G-League season. And that means Luka Samanic, Quinndary Weatherspoon, Keita Bates-Diop, and Tre Jones could spend some time with Austin.

The Austin Spurs open their 2021 schedule with a tilt against the Memphis Hustle at the HP Field House on February 10 at 10:30 AM CST. While this game isn’t nationally televised, you can still catch the action if you have a subscription to ESPN+.
