David Robinson spent some time with Julia Chatterly of CNN and spoke of his involvement in education. He stated that “education is the key” to making progress in racial relations in the United States.
"My children believe they can go & be the next US President... a lot has changed in 2 generations," @DavidtheAdmiral, @NBA legend & @AdmiralCapital co-founder tells me. He says we can’t ignore #racism and should focus changing hearts through education & opportunities. pic.twitter.com/uhzvmdxH83

Robinson has been involved with the addition of nearly a hundred schools in the South, particularly in low-income areas. According to Robinson, 100% of the students are attending college over the last decade.

An interview well worth a view. That said, we all know what David has meant to the organization, to the city, and to education. His words, efforts, and effect are nothing new, but it’s good to get a reminder every now and again.
