Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

The Spurs somehow came back on the Hornets on Saturday by playing a defensive lineup in the second half that dominated Charlotte 63-20 on the scoreboard after a listless start to the second half. The much more talented Clippers squad is going to be a much more difficult nut to crack in tonight. DeMar DeRozan should have another efficient offensive night, but expect him to get help from Derrick White and Dejounte Murray to help contain Kawhi Leonard on the defensive end. Lou Williams is a threat to score every time he has the ball, so expect the Spurs to also send waves of defenders at him. This is a late night tipoff for San Antonio fans, so brew up a pot of coffee and let’s watch the Silver and Black in their fight for a playoff spot. It’s a quick turnaround after tonight’s game, because they have to play another road game tomorrow, but the travel is about as easy as it gets, since tomorrow’s game will be also be played in Staples Center, against the Clippers’ roomies—LeBron James and the Lakers. Go SPURS GooOOOoo!!
