It’s been the toughest season Spurs fans have endured in a long time (or ever, for the younger crowd), but one light that keeps shining bright is the future potential of the Spurs’ youngsters, and they appear ready to lead their team into a new era when the time comes.
Lonnie Walker IV recently posted a message on Instagram that shows him celebrating with Dejounte Murray while philosophically discussing the how they need get through the struggles and maintain their confidence together in order to succeed (presumably both on the basketball court and in life).
Murray responded with a more straight forward message:

This can only mean that the two of them plan on learning now and taking over the Spurs themselves when the time comes. Along with Derrick White, Jakob Poeltl, and rookies Keldon Johnson and Luka Samanic, the Spurs certainly hold a bright future if some or all of those players can find a winning formula together.
As things currently stand, Murray and Walker have only played 39 games and just over 220 minutes together, during which they have a -1.3 NET rating together. It’s too small of a sample size to gauge much from at the moment, but both have defensive star potential and budding offensive games. To say it’s exciting to watch them grow is an understatement.
