All three of the Spurs preseason games will be televised

This is not something Spurs fans get every year!

2020 hasn’t been the the best year for an abundance of reasons, but here is a little treat for Spurs fans that has rarely granted in seasons past: televised preseason games! And not just one or two; all three of their preseason games will be televised.

The usual broadcast crew of Bill Land, Sean Elliott, Matt Bonner and Dan Weiss will be on hand, along with Bill Schoening on the radio.

Their first preseason game is coming up quickly, on Saturday Dec. 12 at home against the Thunder. The game will be played at 6PM CT and televised locally on Fox Sports Southwest. The other two games will both be in Houston against the Rockets, on Dec. 15 and 16 at 7PM CT on KYMS/CW35. They should also be available on League Pass.

For whatever reason, the Spurs have been notorious in recent years for televising the minimal amount of preseason games possible, if at all, and not providing streaming on the same level as other franchises. Maybe they’re doing it now for the TV money or just the fact that there are fewer preseason games than usual and they have to meet broadcast requirements. Whatever the reason, surely no one is disappointed that the countdown to see the Spurs in action again is just three days away now, not fourteen. Happy early Christmas!
