The 2020-2021 NBA season is less than a month away from commencing, and while the rest of the Southwest Division has been busy wheeling, dealing, and retooling, the Spurs have mostly stayed silent this offseason.

Instead of chasing big names on the open market, San Antonio honed in on locking down in-house free agents and turned to the 2020 Draft to improve a roster that showed promise towards the end of a disappointing campaign.

The Silver and Black aren’t the only organization vying to return to postseason contention next year. New Orleans has made some serious moves to surround rising superstar Zion Williamson with a sturdy supporting cast.

Oleh Kosel, Editor-in-chief of The Bird Writes, joins me via Zoom to discuss the Pelicans’ outlook heading into a new season, and how they stack up against the Spurs and the rest of the Southwest Division.
