As they finalize their roster ahead of the start of the 2020-21 NBA season, the San Antonio Spurs have announced the waiving of Tyler Zeller and Cam Reynolds:

The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have waived forward Cam Reynolds and center Tyler Zeller.

Reynolds appeared in one preseason game after signing with the Spurs on Dec. 2, finishing with 6 points and 2 rebounds in 9 minutes vs. Oklahoma City on Dec. 12.

Zeller appeared in two games during the NBA Restart in Orlando after signing with the Silver and Black on June 24.

The Spurs roster now stands at 16 players, including two-way players Quinndary Weatherspoon and Kieta Bates-Diop. They have room to sign one more guaranteed contract if they choose to use that 17th roster spot. Of note, the NBA is allowing 15 players to suit up this season instead of the usual 13.

Another thing to keep an eye on in the coming days is Monday, December 21 is the deadline for the Spurs to sign Derrick White to a contract extension, otherwise he will become a restricted free agent next summer. Talks are reportedly taking place between the two sides. If an agreement is reached, the extension would kick in after this season.
