It’s time for San Antonio Spurs at Houston Rockets

It’s the final preseason game for the Silver and Black

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

It’s the final game of the preseason for your San Antonio Spurs, and it’s deja vu all over again, as the Spurs face the same team they saw two days ago in the same city. Hopefully, tonight’s game will yield a different result than the disorganized mess we saw as the Spurs bench mob got outplayed by the Rockets reserve in the final quarter and lost 112-98. But it’s preseason, and the final score doesn’t matter, so the biggest things to look for are the continued solid play of Spurs rookies Devin Vassell and Tre Jones, along with improvement from Dejounte Murray and Tey Lyles. Veterans DeMar DeRozan, Rudy Gay, and LaMarcus Aldridge don’t have much to prove tonight, but Gregg Popovich will probably play them extended minutes just because. Lonnie Walker IV loves to play against the Rockets, so expect a big game from him tonight.

One final word:

Go Spurs GOOOOOO!!
