Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich had an injury update today after being asked by out own Bruno Passos, and it comes with both good and bad news. The good news: Keldon Johnson should return in the next week or two and is already doing 3-on-3 in practice. The bad news is Derrick White, who is recovering from toe surgery, has not returned to the court and does not have a timeline to return.
Asked Pop about the availability of Derrick White and Keldon Johnson. He thinks Keldon is 1-2 weeks away and is doing 3 on 3 in practices. Derrick's return is further away, not seeing action on the court yet.

Johnson and White were the two breakout stars for the Spurs in Orlando and figure to play a large role in the Spurs transition to small ball this season, so waiting for their return is certain to keep fans anxious. On the bright side, this could mean plenty of playing time for Spurs rookie Devin Vassell.
Get well soon, KJ and DW!
