The pride of Reading, PA turns 22 today.

Today we celebrate one of the most exciting players to join the Spurs over the last half-decade. Lonnie Walker IV was the 18th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, and he has truly made San Antonio his own.

On the court, he is an athletic and agile swingman who isn’t afraid of the big-time shot. One need look no further than his breakout game against the Houston Rockets where he decimated James Harden and Company. In a game that would have otherwise been known as the “contested dunk,” Walker IV lit up for twenty-eight points eliminating Houston’s twenty-two point lead and stealing the win away from the I-10 rivals.

Off the court, Lonnie is a perfect fit for San Antonio. When in the community, the former Miami Hurricane shows the kind of compassion, love, and respect that has defined his life. His dedication to making this world a better place is the symbiotic melding of his upbringing and the beloved Spurs culture.

Nothing else to say but happy birthday, Lonnie. Looking forward to watching your season unfold very soon.
