Grateful to have the Spurs back

Win or lose, it does not matter. Preseason is to get warmed up, and fans need to get warmed up before the long haul same as the players.

There will be plenty of time to analyze, get critical, rejoice, and get crazy. For the time being, gratitude toward the return of NBA basketball is all this Spurs fan needs.

If you were able to catch the Fox Sports Southwest telecast with Bill Land and Sean Elliott, then you were able to get first glimpses of Devin Vassell (12 points, 6 rebounds), two-way player Keita Bates-Diop, Tre Jones, and training camp invitee Cameron Reynolds.

Patty Mills and Rudy Gay have not missed a step. The duo combined for thirty-nine of the Spurs total.

There are many miles to go before we sleep, but the road is much clearer than first anticipated.

Next preseason game is Thursday from Houston. Local fans can catch it on the CW.
