A new NBA season is right around the corner, and while the Spurs have played it safe this offseason, a few of their fellow Southwest Divison participants have radically rearranged their rosters.
Despite several rumors about trading foundational pieces LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan, San Antonio stood pat and stayed true to their longstanding values of loyalty and continuity.
Dallas, on the other hand, has seen massive turnover, acquiring Josh Richardson, James Johnson, Tyler Bey through draft day trades while shedding Seth Curry, Delon Wright, and Justin Jackson in the process.
And the changes don’t stop there. The Mavericks have also added Josh Green and Tyrell Terry, two first-round rookies who project to factor into their plans to build a contender around Luka Doncic.
Richard Stayman of Mavs Draft joins me via Zoom to discuss Dallas basketball and how they can overcome the absence of Kristaps Porzingis to take over the competitive Southwest Division.
