Worst Case Scenario With Current Roster is Still a Winning Season

I'm very optimistic about the Spurs this season so I'll start with the worst assumptions. Assume Pop plays the same style as last season, playing the same rotations that he did last year, except of course he has to replace the minutes played by Bryn and Marco. Assume he does not give the rookies any playing time. The Spurs win anyway. It would be totally out of character for Pop to start Patty, when he has not done so in years past. Other than Patty, his two most experienced guards are Derrick and DJ, so of course they will start and play a lot of minutes. They are the veteran guards. Here are some meaningful statistics from last year:

When either Derrick or DJ played more than 25 minutes, the Spurs were 30-22. When neither played 25 minutes or more, the Spurs were 2-17. When both played 25 minutes or more, the Spurs were 8-4.

I believe that Pop will use a much better rotation than the one I assumed above. How high the winning percentage is depends on the rotation he chooses. The Spurs will have a winning record and will make the postseason. Let's hope they can make some noise there.
