The San Antonio Spurs are 15 days away from making their highest draft selection in 23 years, and while finding a franchise cornerstone with the 11th pick is probably out of the question, plenty of compelling prospects should still be available.
A large segment of Spurs fans have taken an interest in Villanova sophomore Saddiq Bey. I covered him in depth back in August if you wish to read up more on him. Overall, the general consensus is although he fills a positional need for the Silver and Black and would provide some much needed defense, few draft analysts have the combo forward coming off the board inside the lottery likely due to his offensive shortcomings.
Sam Ferris of the Draft Dummies Podcast joins me via Zoom to discuss that and answer more questions about Bey submitted to us from around #SpursTwitter, such as if and where he would immediately fit into the Spurs rotation and what he would bring to the club. We also dive into a few second-round sleepers who could become draft day steals for PATFO.
