For Dion Waiters, the NBA Finals are win-win

The former NBA All-Rookie First Team guard is picking up a ring for the season hampered by COVID-19.

This is interesting-

In an NBA season already begging for asterisks (thanks Phil Jackson), an even stranger occurrence has taken shape- Dion Waiters has earned an NBA ring.

Dion Waiters played for the Miami Heat this season for three games. He logged 42 minutes, scored 28 points, dished out 3 assists, pulled 11 rebounds, and blocked 2 shots.

Then he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies who promptly waived him.

A month later, the Los Angeles Lakers picked him up. He played in seven of the eight games in the bubble and made some minuscule contributions during five games in the postseason.

So, either way, win or lose, Dion waiters is going to nab himself an NBA Championship ring. Whether he is on the team hoisting the trophy at the end of the season or just gets his ring via FedEx remains to be seen.
