The Spurs try to get their first win of 2020, but they’re facing one of the league’s best teams

NBA: Milwaukee Bucks at San Antonio Spurs Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

The start of the decade was pretty disappointing for the Silver and Black, as they couldn’t finish the game against Chris Paul and the Thunder. Tonight, it doesn’t get any easier as they face Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks, who have been dominant this year, both at home and on the road. The Spurs will need to lean on the improved long range shooting of LaMarcus Aldridge to have a chance tonight, and will be missing the services of Dejounte Murray tonight, who is out for personal reasons. This will be a rare home and home series for both teams, as they face each other again on Monday in San Antonio. Let’s see if Derrick White, DeMar DeRozan and the Spurs can pull out the team’s first win of the decade tonight in Milwaukee. Go SPURS GooOOOoo!!
