The cardiac Spurs try to move closer to a .500 record

NBA: San Antonio Spurs at Phoenix Suns Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

Stop me if you’ve heard this before. The last time these two teams met, the Spurs blew a huge lead and somehow escaped with a win when Devin Booker took a bad three-point attempt with a couple of seconds left. It goes without saying that if it had gone in, it would have been considered a good shot. After their cardiac-inspiring win against the Pelicans on Wednesday, the Spurs return to the AT&T Center to face the Suns, and try to hold onto the 8th playoff spot. The Grizzlies play the Pistons tonight, and that’s a likely win for Memphis, so the Spurs need a victory tonight to keep pace. Go SPURS GooOOOoo!!
