Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.
The Spurs played pretty badly for about 2/3rds of the game against the Raptors on Sunday, but they got going when it mattered, with a furious comeback led by Western Conference player of the week DeMar DeRozan spurring them to an exciting 105-104 win. Marco Belinelli came into the game late and made a difference, sinking a clutch shot and playing just enough defense to secure a win for the good guys. Tonight, they face the Miami Heat, who have been one of the league’s hottest teams this year, and are practically unbeatable at home. The Silver and Black have already beaten three of the top four teams in the east, and tonight they can complete the set. They need a win to keep pace with the Memphis Grizzlies who routed the Rockets last night. Go SPURS GooOOOoo!!
