Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.
After tonight, the Spurs will be in sole possession of eighth place in the Western Conference playoff race, or tied with the Grizzlies. Not that playoff standings matter that much this early in the season, but if the Silver and Black want to show that the impressive performance of the last two games against the Bucks and Celtics wan’t a fluke, they need to show some consistency against Ja Morant and the streaking Grizzlies. Did I say streaking? Yes, not in the sense of running naked down main street, but in the sense of winning 6 of their last 10 and 3 in a row. The Grizzlies have a legitimate contender for rookie of the year in Morant, and won’t be easy to defeat at home. Hopefully, the Spurs can continue their hot shooting and improved defense and get another win on the road tonight. Go SPURS GooOOOoo!!
San Antonio Spurs (16-20) @ Memphis Grizzlies (16-22)
