Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

The United States has already qualified for the second round and Japan cannot qualify with a win, so this match is inconsequential other than bragging rights for Japan.

Team USA earned a victory in the first game of round 1 beating the Czech Republic 88-77. On Tuesday, Pop and the boys slinked past Turkey, winning by one point in overtime.

The game is not airing on the networks, so please feel free to share updates if you are watching.
