Earlier this summer LaMarcus Aldridge made a surprise visit to the Calderon Boys and Girls Club gifting backpacks with school supplies before revealing that each student would receive his or her own iPad.
Later that month, LMA took ten students on a $200 shopping spree to Academy Sports and Outdoors to get suited up for the new school year.
This week, LaMarcus was out in the San Antonio community spreading goodwill again.
#12 delivered iPads to students in San Antonio ISD’s YMLA, the Young Men’s Leadership Academy.
“What drove me was to change my circumstances,” Aldridge shared with the captive room of students.
In this instance, he has helped alter the circumstances for this group of youngsters, thus showing that growth and success can be circular through positive support.

The addition of LaMarcus’ generous donation creates an environment where the students have a one-to-one ratio with the technology essential to their success in the modern world.
Give it up for LaMarcus, who continues to be a beacon on the city and community and remind us once again what makes San Antonio Spurs so special.
